The Holy Monatery of Archangel Michael in Monagri  village, is one of the ancient monasteries in Cyprus (dated in the 7th century AD) with a long history, which however had been abandoned and deserted in the last 50 years. 

 

God though has helped to commence the restoration o the Monastery. Thus, the Monastery now operates again and crowds of people gather for worship, spiritual guidance and Sunday mass. 

 

Another problem however has occured in the last few years. The ancient chapel of the Monastery is too small (50 square meters) to accommodate worshipers. In 2018, there has been an attempt tο start building a new bigger chapel, in which worshipers will be able to attend mass in the chapel rather than stand outside the existing one. 

 

Whoever is willing to contribute to this attempt will be substantially contributing to the realization of God’s work. In such a case, the blessing is great since benefactors of a Monastery’s chapel are memorialized on a daily basis during mass for all the years that God helps maintain the chapel. 

 

We are sure that God, through the help of Taxiarch Michael, will richly reward each one for his generous offer, at all levels of his personal and professional life.
